Anthea originally trained as an artist and taught resistant materials in secondary schools for 9 years. She later worked in environmental education for the North York Moors National Park where she developed an interest in willow as a result of attending a hedgerow weaving course.
An increasing involvement in working with willow led Anthea to develop courses in willow weaving, which she has been delivering for over 10 years to children and adults of all abilities. Classes are kept small so each participant receives the necessary attention that they deserve to produce their own piece of work.
